Joshua 4:11-13 (NKJV) - 11 Then it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed over, that the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in the presence of the people. 12 And the men of Reuben, the men of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh crossed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had spoken to them. 13 About forty thousand [a]prepared for war crossed over before the Lord for battle, to the plains of Jericho.
Many of us have just finished the long challenging journey of crossing over Jordan and now, according to the scripture some still have to "prepare for war"; however early this morning God proposed the question to me for today's blog: "Where are you?". A valid question because so many times when something is complete often some opposition occurs to discourage us to feel, think or believe otherwise. The question is not centered around a physical location, but a around a soul location. They did not just cross over Jordan and stop at the edge of the Promise Land they needed to fight their way to the center of the Promise Land. Even though they had a long time dealing with themselves before the crossing, they still had to deal with their soul issues all the way to the center of Jordan. You see at the center (soul), this is where we find the breath of God. At the center, in the same location the exchange from a nation being curse transformed to a nation being blessed. This is symbolic for us today because in our soul (breathe of God) we choose to lay hold of the blessings of God or allow the world curses to overtake us. Moreover the victory of the wars we fight are predicated of the soul (breathe of God). Where are you today? What is going on with your soul (breath of God) now that your have crossed Jordan? Remember Mark 8:35-37 (NLT)- 35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul (breathe of God)?[a]37 Is anything worth more than your soul(breathe of God)?
