Want you listen

Mark 4:24 (NLT) - Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more.

Want you listen? I know it has become hard to listen sometimes because the world has shifted our focus. Our focus has shifted into survival mode instead of surrender mode. It is not by coincidence God gave us two ears and one mouth. He wants us to listen twice as much as we talk. If fact the word let's us know that the more we listen the more we will understand. Also the more we listen the more we will receive. The less you listen the less you understand and the less you receive. The bottom line is if you choose not to listen be prepared not to understand or receive. It's us just that simply. This is the reason many claim not to understand things because many don't want to take the time to listen.

The "L" is listen means loving. We have a loving God who speaks to us - (James 2:5 Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him). The "I" is for instructions - God provides us instructions for every area of our lives (Proverbs 12:15 - The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel). The "S" is for satisfying. The word of God is food for our soul (Jeremiah 31:25 - I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. The "T" is for transforming. Because we chose to listen we are able to have our lives transformed (2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. The "E" is for everlasting. The God we serve is in our lives forever (Isaiah 40:28 - Do you not know? Have you not heard?

The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable). The "N" is for new. When we listen there is a newness waiting for us. He reveals to us the simplicity of His word that was once a mystery to us (Ephesians 4:22-24 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth).

As you begin your week, I ask you to listen and see what the Lord wants to reveal to you so that your life and be bless.

Love you much,

Pastor Jai
