Wait for the sound

I Chronicles 14:15(NIV) - As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”

We face the enemy each day. He presents himself in various ways; however we must understand it is the same enemy, but the battles are different. Since the battles are different we must learn how to follow God's battle strategy. David found himself in different battles, but he understood that he needed God in order to be victorious. We don't have to fight the devil alone. Our Commander-in-Chief, El Shaddai is there. Shaddai as a noun means the ruler of all; however Shaddai as a verb means he who destroys. God knows how to destroy the enemy for us.

Let me just tell you I don't like having to battle the enemy, but we know on this Christian journey we can't escape him. These battles will cause us to want to move quickly, but we must learn how to wait for the right time to ensure a bullseye victory. We should never enter into battle without getting instructions from God. Man's instructions for spiritual warfare will not work because the enemy is already familiar with those tactics. David knew just that, as he was fighting the Philistine army. He needed to call on God in order to be victorious. Today, call on God to get your strategy for battle so, you can be victorious. Don't be so swift to engage, you might need to wait. The scripture says there was a marching sound they were waiting for before they moved out to battle. Ask God what sound am I waiting for before I go into battle? What sound, Lord, so I know that you have gone before me? What sound, Lord? As you move forward toward your purpose, remember to wait for the sound before you engage in battle to ensure your victory.

Love you,

Pastor Jai
