Good morning, I'm back everyone. I took the month of September off for a much needed sabbatical.
This is a very familiar passage generally focused on the first part of the scripture, but today I want to tap into the second part of the scripture that talks about the heritage. When was the last time you tapped into your heritage? Many people don't tap into their heritage because either they don't know about it or don't understand it. Let me share with you that your heritage is connect to your history. Your heritage is that thing, that resource, that knowledge which was transmitted by or acquired from a predecessor. This heritage could be in a form of a treasured item, qualities or tradition that have been passed down from a previous generation. However, what I found out from my studying that there can be no heritage without an history. Now, our Christian history is found in the biblical stories from Genesis to Revelation and from Adam to Jesus and from Jesus to us. I need you to tap into your rich heritage that has been transmitted to you from His blood and the power of the Holy Spirit. Now is the time, when the world seems to have a deaf ear to the word of God just as Israel did when Isaiah prophesied these very words. Here we are, finding ourselves in a similar situation based on the account of the different avenues of media forgetting the promises God made to his people. I ask of you today to tap into your heritage and act like you know that you know, that the promises to us from God still stands today. Understanding and knowing this will help you to say and believe that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST SHALL PROSPER.
