Psalm 72:6 (ESV) - May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass,
like showers that water the earth!
I woke up this morning to rain again and God reminded me I would be talking about latter rain again. Psalm 72 reminds us the kingdom of God is still at hand. We can't get caught up in man's kingdoms because it set-ups discord and contentions within our families, churches and nations. However, Christ came to cease the discord in all of those areas. The law of Christ (Galatians 6:2) shall be written in our hearts and it is "there" when we operate in honesty and fairness and love and peace. How do we get there? How do we get to this latter rain? I'm glad you ask. We must be willing to become that mown grass. The mown grass is what is left after we cut down the grass we don't want. One thing about the owner of the grass he or she realizes it needs mowing. The owner wants the mown lawn to be stimulated so it grows back with lushness and better health after the rain falls. Now, God the creator knows when and how we need to be mown, but we must be willing to be cut. Today, will you choose to become that mown lawn? Will you allow the Holy Spirit to come and fall fresh upon your heart and reign there forever? Again Lord, we need your latter rain.
I love you,
Pastor Jai
