Latter Rain

Jeremiah 5:24 (KJV) - They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God,

Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”

Praise the Lord everybody. Can I just talk to you this morning about the latter rain? This week we saw the end of one presidency and witness the transition into another presidency. We have endured four years of lies, hatred and bigotry. The Lord, asked a question in the beginning of chapter 5......"Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city." I believe we have found one; however we still need to keep our faith and trust in God. The church must get back to fearing the Lord so we can experience the latter rain God promised. What does it mean to fear God? According to Proverbs 8:13, it is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, evil ways and a perverse mouth. Church we must take a stand because God has extended grace to us once again. We must continue to walk in his love knowing God is sovereign. The seasons are a witness to all that the first shall be last and the last shall be first. The harvest time is appointed by God and it is a promise to us from God; therefore, Lord, we repent and we return back to walking in the fear of you. God, we need your latter rain, without your rain we can't experience the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives. God we need your latter rain because without your latter rain God we want understand the seasons within ourselves, Lord. We need your latter rain because without your latter rain God we cannot carry on your work for the kingdom. We need your latter rain Lord because we don't want to reach self-contentment, self-sufficiency or routines. Lord, we want the renewed grace of God who blessed us in the former rain to bless us in the the latter rain. We need your latter rain Lord because we cannot afford to do it without you. So, God send your latter rain.

Be blessed,

Pastor Jai
