His Word makes the difference

Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV)- 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

We live in a technology society which allows us to be exposed to so many different things and so many idle words, but how many of you know today that it is God's Word that makes a difference. The Word of God reminds us there is nothing new up under the sun; therefore in the Bible there is an appropriate scripture for every situation that arises in our lives. We may not like what the Word instructs us to do about our issues; however, it will make the difference on our outcome. These above scriptures reminds us that if we practice; if we would by definition "make use of" God's Word, we would be wise men building our understanding based on the solid rock and not on sinking sand. It's hard for a rock to be moved, but sand moves easily. We can no longer place our faith on these earthly things which can and will wash away. We have seen it and many have experience it during these past 18 months. Jobs, washed away. Churches, washed away. Families, washed away. Let your stance be what is recorded in the hymn by Edward Mote..."On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand."

Today, I prophecy that we will practice God's Word even the more so, we can be like the wise man whose foundation was strong. I come against every idle word that will come to rain upon us and attempt to create streams of doubt and fear and make us shift away from God's promises. I declare and decree as we move forward, our loins will be girded up letting nothing hinder us from hearing and practicing God's Word. Today, oh Lord we affirm in our hearts that it is your Word that has and will always make a difference in our lives. Hear our prayer God and we seal it with your son's precious blood in Jesus Name. Amen.

Let God's Word continue to make a difference in your life.

I Love you,

Pastor Jai
