Food for your Soul

Matthew 4:3-4 (NIV) - The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Now, we are in the season of Jubilee, how do we survive? In order to make it through the season we must have a plan. Our plan should include the Word of God. We just can't live off bread alone; therefore for this very reason many are taking this time to fast and pray. God's word is the very food we need for our soul. Our soul is our feeler, chooser and thinker. We need God's word to help us sustain our emotions, so we can see situations more clear and choose the best Godly decision. Please understand this does not mean we will not make mistakes, but knowing God's word when the tempter comes will help us to know what to do. The tempter's job is to try to trip us up just like he was trying to do to Jesus. Be on your Word game this week. What will be your mantra this week when the tempter comes? My mantra will be Psalm 27:13(NLT) - I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living.

Prayer: We declare today that every time the tempter comes we will stand on God's word; for His word gives us the very food we need for our soul. God your Word keeps us focused on the prize that you have for us. We are totally committed to your plan and you will make our blurred visions clear and we will stay on the right track. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
