2 Chronicles 25:8(NIV) - Even if you go and fight courageously in battle, God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow.
As a child I played the game, Battleship. The object of the game was to sink your opponent's fleet of battleship. As you attempt to guess the exact position of your opponent's fleet you have to guess the right letter and number every time in order to sink your opponent's ships and win the war. As you continue to guess your opponent's fleet positions you quickly learn when to engage and disengage. Now, you could lose some of your ships and still win the war. Now, we know the enemy tries to take out our fleet (family, careers, visions, finances, educational opportunities, and healthy lifestyles); therefore, we must learn when to engage and went to disengage. We can learn from Aamaziah that to win our wars we must only engage after obedience to the command of the Lord. Let's us be reminded today that the battle is not ours it is the Lord because "Even if you go and fight courageously in battle, God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow".
