Psalm 90:12 (NIV) - Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Good morning. I want to talk about the importance for us to count. I'm not talking about counting in the sense of counting our money, counting how old we are or counting the number of children we have. I'm talking about maximizing the moments we get to receive divine wisdom. I'm talking about evaluating our wisdom opportunities. Often, we are so busy counting so many other different things we miss the real thing---gaining a heart of wisdom. Here we are on Pentecost Sunday and I wonder what have we counted or if we have counted anything these past fifty days? The affliction of this world should lead us to pray for these things to help us learn to count our days better:
Pray for due diligence toward the work God has called us to perform in spite of
Pray for God's divine instructions
Pray for sincere godliness.
Pray for God's mercy toward us.
Pray for God's countenance and strength in us
Just know that if we learn how to count our days better, according to God's word we may gain a heart of wisdom. Wisdom will protect us. Wisdom will watch over us. Wisdom will provide us understanding. Therefore don't discount anything, but count every thing. Today, we want to count it all joy for all the unexpected trials in our lives for we are made perfect. Moving forward, will you be counting?
Have a glorious day and don't forget to count.
I love you.
